All of my quilts are cotton or cotton/poly blend and are made from new fabric.  Batting used in my shop is polyester and a heavier grade.  I recommend and use cotton or cotton/poly sheets as backing because of their strength and durability.  All of my quilts are machine washable and dryable, no special care needed.  The ones I make from "patch" are usually very old and traditional patterns, usually square and rectangular patches.  Each quilt is unique and I rarely make the same quilt the same way twice.
